Education Sponsorship

The Educational Sponsorship programme covers girls from nursery to post high school studies including university education for those who wants to continue pursuing a skill or academic qualification to secure stable future for themselves and their family. 

This programme covers cost for 1 academic year that includes school fees, textbook, uniform and shoes, meals, stationaries and transport where applicable.

Other information are:

1. Semester 1 of academic year starts from middle of May and goes on for 20 weeks of studies.
2. Semester 2 starts from 1 week of November and goes on for another 20 weeks of studies.
3. For post high school studies, the costing varies depending on what the courses the girls are signing up for and which university/institution. Currently 5 girls are pursuing post high school studies.
4. Around Chiang Rai region, the top university is Mae Fah Luang University (MFLU) ranked 39 in the country and is more affordable compared to Chiang Mai University (3^rd ranked) and Bangkok University (23^rd ranked) https://www.4icu.org/th/
5. Those graduated from MFLU are almost certainly guaranteed to have a job and thus an ambition for the girls to strive for despite the stressful demand. Although some girls can make it to Chiang Mai University or Bangkok university, the cost is too high, and most will go to MFLU so other girls can have a chance for tertiary education as well.
6. Aside from degree courses, they may pursue other courses like nursing, languages, music arts and craft etc.
7. As the costing can be dynamic due to different scenario, it is hard to nailed down an actual amount for sponsorship and the Foundation has decided to fix it at a lower tier for whole academic year:
8. Nursery and Primary School – USD 550.00
9. Middle and High School – USD 650.00
10. University/Post High School – USD 1700.00
